Customer complaint:
Slow speeds and intermittent Internet.
Diagnosis:
I have narrowed the issue down to BER (-4s) being caused by the MoCa network. The arris dual-band gateway is next to the MG1 and the MG1 is being used to create the MoCa network. No matter what channel I force set the MG1 on to create the MoCa network as soon as MoCa is enabled the BER jumps up.
Solution:
MoCa filter was not installed at demarc.
